HAIRSPRAY – the original, big-hearted, multi award-winning Broadway hit musical in now playing at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre.
Starring much-loved stage and screen performer Shane Jacobson as Edna Turnblad, Todd McKenney as Wilbur Turnblad, Rhonda Burchmore as Velma Von Tussle, Rob Mills as Corny Collins, Asabi Goodman as Motormouth Maybelle and introducing Carmel Rodrigues as Tracy Turnblad.
Joining them will be Javon King as Seaweed J Stubbs, Donna Lee, Ayanda Dlada as Little Inez, Brianna Bishop as Amber von Tussle, Mackenzie Dunn as Penny Pingleton, Sean Johnston as Link Larkin and Todd Goddard.
HAIRSPRAY is the romantic comedy of dance-loving teenager Tracy Turnblad who has one dream: to dance on The Corny Collins Show. When her dream becomes reality, big-haired Tracy falls in love and finds friends in unexpected ways.
